Brief Beam were asked to create a website that would allow schools in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea to log the individual travel plans of their students, as part of a London-wide data collection exercise to create a powerful resource for monitoring transport patterns and encourage more sustainable ways of journeying to and from school.

Solution Building on an illustrative identity that Beam had already created for the Transport department, Beam designed new illustrations specifically for the website. Working with a backend system that had been developed for a neighbouring council, Beam devised a complex but user-friendly data-driven site, guiding users smoothly through the data-entry process.
