After successfully winning a three-way pitch, Beam were asked to create two bilingual English/Arabic catalogues and a family guide for Abu Dhabi Art; the most important contemporary art fair in the Middle East, hosted by the organization behind the stunning new Louvre and Guggenheim museums opening in Abu Dhabi.
Beam developed a design for the publication that linked the Arabic and English scripts, creating a contemporary typographic framework that emphasized a meeting of the two-cultures and formed
a clear grid to display the art. A visual tabbing system allowed the user to navigate a specific gallery or artist quickly. For the family guide, Beam created bespoke illustrations that referenced Middle-Eastern and Western culture as well as art education.
