Portrait of an artist / Sandelson
The central London-based Sandelson gallery specialised in modern, british and contemporay art. Coinciding with the gallery’s move from Knightsbridge to Cork Street they briefed Beam to design catalogues that would reflect their reputation as established dealers in the art market.
Beam created a range of formats that accommodated the variety of styles and mediums used by the artists the gallery represented. The catalogues always connected directly to the art in some way; through the materials they were printed on, the binding process, the typographic style or finishing process.
