Promoting pedal power / Islington Council

As cycling makes for a greener, cleaner borough, Islington Council asked Beam to design a guide that highlighted its many benefits and encouraged local professionals to bike to work.

As one in a series of pocket-sized guides, we designed ‘Cycle Islington’ around four of the best commuter cycling routes through the borough. Each was illustrated with a map and a snapshot synopsis of the traffic, and interspersed with six interviews showing the diversity of cyclists in Islington. Both rough and smooth 100% recycled paper gave the guide a tactile quality.
